What do we cover during the session?
The CyFun preparation session provides you with a clear and realistic overview of the verification process, without offering substantive advice on individual situations. Topics covered include:
- The CyFun verification process
From submission of documentation to completion, including lead times and possible rescheduling. - The verification itself
What do we assess, at what moment and how? What information and availability do we expect from your organisation? - Differences between self-assessment and verification
What happens if your own assessment differs from the auditor’s findings? - Practical points of attention during verification
Such as availability of staff, documentation and internal coordination.
In addition, there is room to ask general questions and share experiences with other participants. We emphasise that this session is informative and does not replace individual advisory services.

- Organisations that will undergo a CyFun verification (Basic or Important)

Christian Oudenbroek
Christian Oudenbroek is CEO of Brand Compliance and, in this role, has gained extensive expertise in NIS2 compliance and CyberFundamentals verifications. He closely follows developments in legislation and regulations and has conducted in-depth research into the application of CyberFundamentals within the Belgian NIS2 framework. During the preparation session, Christian shares his knowledge of what NIS2 and CyberFundamentals mean in practice, how the verification and certification landscape is structured, and what organisations can realistically expect. The focus is on insight and clarification, not on individual advisory services.
